Our Staff

Joseph Zaffiro, Funeral Director
Email: jzaff@stonemor.com

Joseph is an accomplished funeral director and embalmer with over 30+years of experience. Born in New York, he was raised in New Jersey, and graduated from Pace University and American Academy McAllister Institute, both in New York City. He brings passion and perfection to his craft.

For Joseph, his profession is not a job, it is a vocation, one that he has dedicated his life and time too. Over the years, he has also trained and managed the staff of the funeral homes he has worked for. He considers embalming an art form and enjoys personally embalming, preparing and laying out loved ones with care and respect.

His technical abilities to fix almost everything helps him solve many maintenance issues or repair needs for the funeral facilities. However, at home he is known as “Mr Fix It”.  He usually can be found in his garage tinkering and repairing computers, lamps, cars, anything electrical. In his family business of Jet Art, he is the head of the production team for the artist, Princess Tarinan von Anhalt, manages the events, and designs and builds all the platforms and reinforcements to withstand extreme velocity from the jet engine. Joseph, does it all

After work he looks forward to his wife Randi’s cooking and relaxes with his best companion, his cat Rusty, as his dog Tinkerbelle passed away. You can find Joseph in front of the television while watching shows on astronomy, sci-fi and Fox News programs.  He searches Netflix and YouTube looking for the perfect RV motor home for vacations, as Joseph’s dream is to travel throughout the entire United States of America with his wife, his cat and another rescue dog.
